This extension has a dependency on draw.io which is licensed under GPLv3. Even if this extension (i.e. the code that integrates draw.io in XWiki) is licensed under LGPL 2.1+ the combination of Diagram Application + draw.io is GPLv3. This means that if you want to distribute a package that bundles the Diagram Application and its draw.io dependency then that package must be licensed under GPLv3.

This is a simple application that integrates jgraph/draw.io in XWiki, adding support for editing and viewing diagrams. Each diagram is stored in a wiki page. It doesn't require any external services in order to work properly.

If you wish to display a generated diagram on another page you should use the Diagram Macro.

We recommend using the Extension Manager to install this extension (Make sure that the text "Installable with the Extension Manager" is displayed at the top right location on this page to know if this extension can be installed with the Extension Manager). Note that installing Extensions when being offline is currently not supported and you'd need to use some complex manual method.

You can also use the following manual method, which is useful if this extension cannot be installed with the Extension Manager or if you're using an old version of XWiki that doesn't have the Extension Manager:

  1. Log in the wiki with a user having Administration rights
  2. Go to the Administration page and select the Import category
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to upload the downloaded XAR
  4. Click on the uploaded XAR and follow the instructions
  5. You'll also need to install all dependent Extensions that are not already installed in your wiki
  • The extension ID on XWiki Extension Repository was not consistent with the Maven ID.
  • Improve the project POM file.
  • Fix the diagram editor loading after the changes introduced by XWIKI-106
  • Fix deprecated call to $msg.get()
  • Update parent version to 4.5.3
  • Fixed the base URL for resources, which was preventing the menu from being properly loaded.

Dependencies for this extension (org.xwiki.contrib:application-diagram 1.2):

  • org.xwiki.platform:xwiki-platform-sheet-ui 7.4
  • org.xwiki.platform:xwiki-platform-rendering-macro-velocity 7.4
  • org.xwiki.rendering:xwiki-rendering-macro-html 7.4
  • org.webjars:requirejs 2.1.15
  • org.webjars:jquery 1.11.3
  • org.xwiki.contrib:draw.io 6.5.7
